Jury finds Williamsburg pharmacist guilty on some charges, not all

A Whitley County pharmacist will serve 78 months in a federal prison.

A jury convicted Kimberly Jones in February.

As part of the sentence, Jones must serve 85 percent of her sentence.

A federal jury found a Williamsburg pharmacist guilty on some but not all charges outlined against her.

Kimberly Jones was indicted in June of last year.

Prosecutors said Jones Illegally distributed narcotics and defrauded Medicaid and Medicare.

She owned Kim's Hometown Pharmacy in Williamsburg.

Jones is now in the Laurel County Detention Center.
