United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials removed three employees from a Pikeville Mexican restaurant Monday.

Frank Childers, the owner of El Azul Grande, says ICE officials were there looking for a man from Salyersville. Childers said the man was not there, but three of his employees were taken by ICE officers to Louisville.

The restaurant closed for a while Monday afternoon after the employees were detained.

Childers did not tell WYMT the names of the employees taken into custody.

ICE officials left Childers the business card of a deportation officer with the Enforcement and Removal Operations division of ICE.

An earlier version of this story referenced the owner of the restaurant as Frank Justice. That was an error and we apologize for the mistake.
