It may have taken a few years, but Dajcor Aluminum is finally breaking ground in Perry County.

"We are very excited to get this plant running and going and hopefully come March we will be pushing aluminum out of the plant," said Vice President of Operations for Dajcor Steven Everitt.

Bringing more than 200 jobs to the area, the support behind this Canadian business is massive.

"This is a game-changer for the region. This is a high tech company with 200 plus job and an opportunity to show off to the world we can do this stuff," explained Congressman Hal Rogers.

While many may think Canada and Eastern Kentucky might not have very much in common, the core values we share are quite similar.

"We believe in supporting our workers and employees we are a tight-knit group," added Everitt.

Dajcor is hoping to create brighter futures for people in the mountains and expand their company in many different ways.

"It is heartwarming that we got 265 people in this plant that is able to keep their family here where they want to be," said Congressman Rogers.

With new opportunities on the horizon, Dajcor is ready to get to work.
