(WYMT) - The Heat Advisory and Excessive Heat Warning will expire at 8 p.m. Relief is on the way as a cold front moves in Sunday.
We will hang onto the heat and humidity this evening. I would stay close to the air conditioner this evening if you can!
We'll cool off as we head into the overnight hours. Lows will drop into the low 70s. It will be muggy but at least we'll get a break from the sun. We could still see a stray shower or two this evening as well.
Sunday and Monday
A cold front will approach the mountains Sunday which will bring soggy conditions back into the mountains.
Scattered showers and storms will move in Sunday with highs in the mid to upper 80s. We'll see partly cloudy skies become mostly cloudy especially by the later overnight hours.
The soggier conditions move in Monday with highs in the upper 80s and overnight lows in the lower 60s.
A few of the showers and storms could be on the stronger side both Sunday and Monday, but we are not expecting any widespread storms.
After the front moves through we will finally get some relief from the heat.
We'll hang onto a few chances early Tuesday but sunshine will return by the afternoon.
Highs look to be in the 70s for Tuesday and Wednesday. Those overnight temperatures will be cooler as well with lows in the 50s.
We'll warm back up slightly by the end of the work week. Highs will be back in the 80s. We look to remain dry for the rest of the work week as well!
