Hot and humid conditions return to the mountains

By  |

(WYMT) - After today temperatures will soar as a warm front moves into the mountains. We will also start to bring back isolated showers and storms.

Tonight and Tomorrow
Enjoy the rest of this evening while you can because conditions will become muggy and hot over the next several days. Tonight we will see mostly clear skies with temperatures dropping into the lower 60s.

That warm front moves in Wednesday which will shift winds out of the southwest at 5-10 MPH. This will help temperatures soar into the upper 80s to maybe even lower 90s in some spots. We remain dry throughout the day with sunny skies. If you plan on being outside, make sure to have plenty of water with you and to wear sunscreen!

Extended Forecast
The hot and muggy conditions continue as we head into the rest of the work week.

Highs remain the upper 80s with lows in the upper 60s for both Thursday and Friday. I think we see a few scattered rain chances Thursday with only a stray chance Friday.

Your Memorial Day Weekend Forecast is looking pretty good as well! Only a few isolated showers and storms possible with highs in the upper 80s for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Models are hinting at a few more showers later Sunday into Monday. We'll keep an eye on that trend.

Remember to stay hydrated and keep the sunscreen handy all week long. Keep an eye on your children, pets and the elderly starting Wednesday and heading toward the weekend.
