(WYMT) - The hot and humid conditions are here to stay! Tonight we could see a few clouds but we remain mostly clear with temperatures only dropping into the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Thursday and Friday
Over the next couple of days, we will see a system move to the north which could provide a few pop-up showers and storms.
Thursday, the Storm Prediction Center put part of Eastern Kentucky in a Marginal Risk (1 out of 5) for severe weather. The main threat will be to the north, mainly along I-64. A few of those pop-up storms could be on the strong side, but the good news is most of us will remain dry. Highs will be in the upper 80s with lows in the upper 60s.
We hang onto pop-up showers and storms for your Friday as well. We will see those mostly sunny skies throughout the day with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 60s.
Memorial Day Weekend
Once again, we still have the chance for a few pop-ups Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Overall it looks like a mostly dry weekend with very hot temperatures!
Highs will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s especially Saturday. A lot of people like to spend this holiday weekend outside but just make sure to stay hydrated and wear plenty of sunscreen!
As we head into the new work week it looks like we see the same summertime pattern.
Highs look to remain in the upper 80s with scattered rain chances. If you are a fan of summer it looks like it has arrived!
