(WYMT) - Today was hot, but the next few days will not feel any better.

Tonight and Wednesday
We reached a high of 96 today which broke the record high of 93 in 2002. It is safe to say today was hot and we do not get a break for quite some time. We will continue to see those mostly clear skies tonight with overnight lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Highs will be in the lower 90s Wednesday with mostly sunny skies. We could see a stray chance for a shower or two. Hopefully, this could relieve some of us of the heat.
We hang onto those stray rain chances Thursday with a few clouds. Highs will remain in the upper 80s to lower 90s throughout the end of the workweek and into the weekend.
We could increase those rain chances slightly Friday and Saturday as a possible cold front moves into the mountains. This could impact some Friday night football, but we still have a few days before we know for sure.
There is a hint of a cool down by the new workweek. So stay cool out there! We'll get through this heatwave together.
