(WYMT) - Good morning! The heat continues here in the mountains.
Today and Tonight
Yesterday we broke the record high temperature in Jackson with a high of 98! It sure has been hot, and we will continue to see those temperatures in the lower 90s.
Clouds will increase by this afternoon and we throw in an isolated storm chance. If you see rain today, those temperatures will cool down a bit!
Tonight will be dry under partly cloudy skies with lows in the upper 60s.
We hang onto that stray rain chances Thursday with a few clouds. Highs will remain in the upper 80s to lower 90s throughout the end of the workweek and into the weekend.
We could increase those rain chances slightly Friday and Saturday as a possible cold front moves into the mountains. This could impact some Friday night football, but we still have a few days before we know for sure.
There is a hint of a cool down by the new workweek. So stay cool out there! We'll get through this heatwave together.
