PIKEVILLE, Ky (WYMT)- This year, Gubernatorial Candidates spoke at the annual Stump Speeches Saturday Morning.

Rocky Adkins, Andy Beshear, Matt Bevin, Adam Edelen, Robert Goforth, and Mike Hogan, were all in attendance ahead of the primary election on May 21st.

"I'm an Eastern Kentuckian, live in Eastern Kentucky, Made my living in Eastern Kentucky. So, I'm Eastern Kentucky from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet and I'm proud of it. I think Eastern Kentucky needs a governor to be very honest. To give the focus that is needed for our region to rebuild our economy and provide the kind of jobs our people need and deserve", said Rocky Adkins.

"We've got to fight to keep the jobs we've got. We've got to fight to build the jobs of the future and I'm the only candidate that has a proven track record of doing that, particularly here in Eastern Kentucky", said Adam Edelen.

"Kentucky deserves a governor that is going to restore humility and dignity to that office. A governor that treats everyone in Kentucky regardless of who you are, where you are from, how much money you're worth", said Robert Goforth.

Each candidate had 3 minutes to speak to the crowd at the event.
