ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - An Estill County grand jury chose not to indict a man accused of shooting and killing a search dog.

"Hunter", a full-blooded Bloodhound and service dog, was found shot to death.

Deputies say they found a shotgun shell in Charles Collins' driveway, along with traces of blood in the road.

Collins was facing a charge of animal cruelty.

Court officials tell WYMT that the charges against Collins were dropped.
