FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT) - School safety was seen as a big priority in this past legislative session, but none of the bills offered made it out of committee.
House Bill 210 would have allowed guns on campus at Kentucky's public colleges and universities.
Senate Bill 103 and House Bill 554 would have created an exception to a law that bans guns in K-12 schools, allowing teachers to carry guns.
House Bill 36 would have allowed concealed carry in public without a permit.
During the weekend Governor Matt Bevin said a special session is still possible to address school safety.
