Abortion is a hot topic among the candidates in Tuesday's upcoming Kentucky primary election.

During the interview, Bevin argued against people suggesting abortion ban laws are racist.

"For people to come out and say that it is somehow racial justice to be able to kill black children before they're even born is a remarkably empty argument, and highly offensive, frankly, to many people like myself," Bevin said.

The current Kentucky governor signed a bill this year banning abortions after six weeks, which is about the time a heartbeat can be detected.

Another Republican candidate for governor, Robert Goforth, also supports pro-life legislation.

A third Republican challenger, William Woods, said the government should not be involved in a woman's decision to abort.

Among the Democratic candidates, Rocky Adkins is the only one that is not pro-choice.
