Governor Bevin's primary opponent filed for re-election Wednesday December 4th.

Republican State Representative Robert Goforth serves the 89th district.

He was first elected in February 2018 to replace former representative Marie Rader, who resigned due to health reasons.

Goforth was then elected to a full two-year term that November.
