The governor was quickly surrounded by miners and their families. They gave him one of the shirts that was made for them.

Several local music groups are at the site performing a concert to help raise the spirits of those who have been camped out there all week.

Governor Bevin voiced his support of the miners, saying everything they have done this week says a lot about the caliber of the people in the community.

"I just wanted to tell you how much I personally respect and appreciate what you're doing, but how much Kentucky does. Because what you have done is represent us with pride, you've represented us with class, you've represented us with dignity, what you're asking for is justice," Bevin stated.
