Gibson pleads guilty to murder, fetal homicide

Clay County, Ky. (WYMT) - A man accused of being under the influence and murdering four people, including an unborn child, in a 2015 crash in Clay County pleaded guilty Tuesday.

Jason Gibson pleaded guilty to four counts of murder and one count of fetal homicide in Clay Circuit Court.

"It's kind of like a sense of relief, but then it's really not because you know that nothing's ever gonna bring your family members back," said Chasity Collett, the daughter of Charlene Lewis, one of the women killed in the crash.

Other charges against Gibson were dismissed.

"Now it's kind of time to set into the healing process since we don't have to come to court and see him all the time," Collett added.

Gibson is scheduled for sentencing May 6.

WYMT talked to Charlene Lewis's daughter, Chastity Collett, Monday.

Lewis, Judy Pennington-Adams, Tiffany Williams, Williams' 23-month-old son Kyson and her unborn child were killed in the crash.
