Flurries, slick spots possible early Tuesday

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Flurries will linger in many areas this morning and slick spots will be possible on the roads, especially in the higher elevations.

Today and Tonight
Outside of the cold conditions this morning, skies will try to clear as the lingering snow moves out. I think we'll stay cloudy for most of the day, but some sunshine could appear at times. Daytime highs should get into the upper 30s to right around 40.

Tonight, the skies continue to clear, giving way to partly cloudy skies late. Lows will drop to right around freezing.

Extended Forecast
We'll get a nice little break heading into midweek. Look for mostly sunny skies both Wednesday and Thursday. HIghs will be close to 50 both days with lows dropping to right around freezing on Wednesday night and close to 40 on Thursday night.

Friday looks pretty good too, outside of the chance for a stray shower. The weekend doesn't look half bad either. Enjoy our much-needed break!
