BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Sunday evening, Bell County volunteer firefighters were headed to a call about downed power lines when they had to swerve into a ditch.
Firefighters say they had their lights and sirens on when a car came by from the other side of the road, to avoid hitting the car the firefighters had to swerve into the ditch. They drove about 50 feet before stopping.
One volunteer had to be checked out by first responders for a minor injury.
The firetruck was slightly damaged from the crash.
