Few storms possible as cold front moves through

By  |

(WYMT) - A cold front will continue to push through this evening which will allow scattered storms to stick around.

Tonight and Wednesday
Most of us are in a marginal risk (1 out of 5) for severe weather this evening while areas along the KY, TN and VA border are still under a slight risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather.

There is a possibility for a few scattered storms later this afternoon into the early evening hours but we saw most of the action earlier today. Overnight lows will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s with mostly cloudy skies.

That front will continue to roll through Wednesday which means we'll start the day with mostly cloudy skies and a few rain chances. We'll clear out by the afternoon with a mixture of sun and clouds. Highs will be in the low to mid-80s with overnight lows in the mid-60s.

Extended Forecast
By the end of the workweek, mostly sunny skies return with drier conditions!

Highs will be in the lower 80s with overnight lows in the mid-60s for Thursday.

For Friday and the weekend, highs will be in the mid to upper 80s with overnight lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

We could see a stray chance for a shower or two Sunday, but I think most of us stay on the drier side.
