A two-vehicle crash in Jackson County killed two people and injured a child.

It happened Friday night on Kentucky 290 between McKee and Annville.

Troopers with the Kentucky State Police believe a flatbed truck crossed the center line and crashed into a Nissan Frontier.

Police said Dustin Tillery, 35, died at the scene.

Tilley was driving the Nissan Frontier.

Kentucky State Police said his son Justin Tillery, 13, was flown to UK Hospital where he later died.

Dustin's 10-year-old daughter was also flown to UK Hospital but is expected to survive.

On Monday, teachers and students remembered the 7th grader and grief counselors will be available the rest of the week.

The driver of the flatbed truck was not hurt.

"He was a young man. I don't know how long he had been employed, but I don't imagine it would have been too long," said Trooper Adam Hall. "It's just a tragic accident where lives were lost."

No charges have been filed.
