22-month-old Kenneth Howard is being treated for tick bites, scratches and dehydration; however, he is in great shape considering his ordeal. Sister station WKYT spoke with the family at the hospital.

The family said Kenneth is set to go home Friday after being in the hospital since his rescue Wednesday. Doctors did some blood work and cleared the toddler.

"I want to go back and play with him as soon as I can," said Kenneth's ecstatic cousin, nine-year-old Dalton Howard. "I was just thinking about what he was going through and I was just trying to help as much as I could. I went in the woods a lot...I'm just glad he's coming back."

Details are in the works for homecoming celebrations.

Search crews said Thursday that they were amazed to find the little boy alive.
