Hal Rogers Parkway cleared after truck fire in Clay County

Hal Rogers Parkway has been cleared of debris and the road is open to through traffic.

We're following a developing story out of Clay County.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a truck fire on the Hal Rogers Parkway in Clay County.

It happened around 7 p.m. Friday night.

We're told there were people in the truck, but they were able to get out safely before the vehicle exploded.

Police have one lane of the parkway shut down and are directing traffic on to the other one.
