An Eastern Kentucky man is being recognized for his heroism.

Scott Johnson died while trying to save others during last summer's flooding in Johnson County.

Now, he's being honored with one of the 25 Carnegie Medals, awarded for extraordinary civilian heroism.

He and his grandmother, Willa Mae, were two of the four people who died in the flood.
