Hwy. 80 in Knott County reopens following rockslide

KNOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Update: 2 p.m.

Our reporter at the scene tells us Hwy. 80 in Knott County is reopened following a rockslide earlier Sunday.

Original Story

Officials with Kentucky State Police tell us eastbound lanes of Highway 80 in Knott County are closed due to a rockslide.

Traffic is being redirected into the westbound lanes.

The rockslide happened in the Soft Shell area.

Officials said the call came in just after 9 a.m.

The Transportation Department is responding.
