HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT)- After a day filled with rounds of rain showers, plenty of clouds, and some unseasonably cool temperatures, the forecast is looking much nicer on this Easter Sunday. Here’s the breakdown.
High pressure is slowly kicking the clouds on out of the mountains. We will see temperatures climb as sunshine returns to the region. We start off in the 40s this morning and we should top out in the lower 60s this afternoon. The weather for all your Easter festivities should be dry.
With high pressure in and decreasing clouds, we are going to set the stage for a cool night across the mountains. Expect lows in the lower 40s and some of the valleys may slip into the upper 30s with some dense fog possible.
The new work week is looking very mild for the first few days. Southerly flow will usher in much warmer temperature and plenty of sunshine on Monday and Tuesday. Highs on both days will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Wednesday will also feature warm temperatures but could feature a few late day showers and storms. Much better chances of rain come on Thursday and Friday as our next storm system passes by to our south.
