Two people are behind bars Tuesday after Laurel County Sheriff's Office conducted a drug investigation.

Police arrested 31-year-old Miranda Baker and 45-year-old Melissa Cox, both of Lily Road.

Baker was charged with first-degree trafficking in meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.

Cox was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.

The sheriff's office said the arrests came after a drug investigation following a complaint at a house south of London.

Police said Baker had meth in her possession when deputies arrived at the home.

Baker also told deputies that she sold meth earlier before deputies arrived.

Deputies discovered that two minors were living in the house while drug trafficking was taking place.

Police said Cox knew what was going on at the house while she and the minors lived there.

Both Baker and Cox were taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
