LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Sunday evening deputies from the Laurel County Sheriff’s department responded to the Walmart in the southern part of Laurel County.

They say someone reported that a person shot at the building in the back of the store near the automotive section.

Deputies said some ‘projectiles’ were found and there were marks on the side of the building and near a building gutter that might indicate the building was shot at.

Deputies said no injuries were reported.

They said they are canvassing the area in the neighborhood to find out where the rounds came from and see if they were stray rounds.

Officials said any reports of a mass shooting are false.
