LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A woman was arrested after deputies said she was walking along a road in Laurel County screaming someone was trying to kill her.
Deputies said they arrested Mary Roark, 34, of Manchester, was arrested Thursday around 11:30 p.m. off East Laurel Road.
They said people who called in said a woman was knocking on doors to homes in the area and trying to get into cars.
Deputies said when they got to the scene they found Roark holding a water meter cover on her shoulder and trying to hide her head behind it.
They said she told them the mob was trying to kill her and deputies were part of the mob.
Deputies said they determined Roark was under the influence and she also was in possession of several needles.
Roark was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct-second degree, public intoxication-controlled substances, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
