PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - The Pikeville Main Street Program is working with the Appalachian Center for the Arts to host a night of Halloween fun.

The Dead Ball kicks off Saturday night, bringing costumed attendees to the Appalachian Center for the Arts to celebrate the spooky season in style. Halloween-themed decorations and activities will fill the center and a meal is included in the ticket price.

"We call it some gruesome grub. So, anything that a zombie would eat will be there," said Pikeville Main Street Director Minta Trimble. "We want everyone to dress up in their Halloween costume."

The ball is a fundraiser for the Main Street Program's beautification and preservation efforts.

The event comes to life at 8 p.m. on Saturday and runs until midnight. Attendees must be at least 21 years old and are required to be in costume. Tickets are $25 and are available for purchase online, at, or at the door.
