Coroner identifies woman killed in crash on I-75 at I-64 split in Lexington

The Fayette County coroner identified the victim as 50-year-old Valeria Nelson of Huntington, West Virginia.
Nelson was the passenger in the only vehicle involved in the crash. Her husband was driving the vehicle. Speed did not play a factor in the crash, as the driver was going about 55 mph in a 70 mph zone.
Police do believe the driver lost control because of wet roads.

a serious crash is impacting traffic.
The crash involves one vehicle and has shut down the eastbound ramp of I-64 to southbound I-75 at the southern split.
Lexington Police told WKYT the coroner's office was called to the crash.
It is unclear when the ramp will be back open.
