HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Firefighters were called out to a fire at a Harlan County home early Tuesday morning.
"All of a sudden you heard a big boom and the whole front side of her house moved outwards. There were flames everywhere," said neighbor Christina Hickson.
Officials tell WYMT the call came in just before 5 a.m. in the Sunshine area of Harlan.
We are told three adults, two toddlers and one infant were inside the home when the fire started, but were all able to escape without injuries.
Kentucky State Police say they are conducting an arson investigation.
"Our arson investigator arrived to the scene this morning, trying to collect some evidence," said Kentucky State Police Lieutenant Danny Caudill.
Police say an arrest was made at the scene Tuesday morning but for unrelated charges.
