UPDATE: Person killed in morning Pikeville crash identified

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT/WSAZ) - UPDATE 5:15 P.M.
Investigators have released the name of a man killed in a crash in Pikeville Saturday morning.

Gerald Little, 32, from Elizabethton, Tennessee was killed when his car and three others collided on U.S. 23 near Enterprise Road.

Police say two other people were taken to the hospital, however their condition is unknown at this time.

U.S. 23 was shut down for several hours after the crash, but has since reopened.

Officials say US 23 is back open after fatal crash.

UPDATE 10:05 A.M.

The crash occurred near Kentucky Enterprise Industrial Park on US 23. Officials said the crash involved four cars. Two of those cars sustained major damage.

"It was a pretty intense scene. We actually ended up having one fatal," said Paul Maynard, Pikeville 911 Director.

One person died in the crash. A Second person was transported to Pikeville Medical Center.

A crash occurred this morning on US 23 in Pikeville.

"This morning the 911 center started getting multiple calls on a multi-vehicle collision on the South end of Pikeville," said Maynard.

Pikeville Police are not able to provide many details at this point, but say all lanes are blocked off and "will be for some time".
