Update: Name released in Pike County deadly stabbing case

REGINA, Ky. (WYMT) - 3-13-19 Update
Kentucky State Police have released the name of the man killed in a Pike County stabbing.

Police tell WYMT Charles Albert Ratliff, 74, of Elkhorn City, died after he was stabbed.

Police have sent Ratliff's body to Frankfort for an autopsy.

We have learned police have made an arrest in a deadly Pike County stabbing.

An arrest citation states Michael Yates was arrested Tuesday night and charged with murder.

He is being held in the Pike County Detention Center.

Police have not released the name of the victim.

The Pike County coroner tells us he was called to the scene of a stabbing.

The stabbing happened on Cox Farm Road in the Regina community around 2:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Kentucky State Police is investigating.

Troopers said a man was stabbed to death. They have not released his identity at this time.

No charges have been filed, but police said they are questioning someone about the incident.
