Update: Names released in Breathitt County murder investigation

BREATHITT COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Kentucky State Police was called to an incident at a home on Red Bird Hollow just off Quicksand Road near Jackson Friday morning.

Kentucky State Police said a man killed his wife during a fight at the home.

Police said Charles Noble caused deadly injuries to his wife, Anna Noble.

Anna was pronounced dead at the scene by the Breathitt County Coroner.

Police arrested Charles and charged him with one count of murder. He was taken to the Three Forks Regional Jail. He will appear in court Thursday.

The flashing lights caused neighbors to become concerned.

"Everyone knows when you see a coroner, you know it's not a good sign," Maranda Manns said.

She says she visits her family along Red Bird Hollow often but did not know what to think when she saw state troopers parked in the distance.

"We've seen the presence on the road ... the coroner, the state police ... all working together to try to figure it out and get some justice for the family."

She says the close-knit community is saddened and shocked to know someone has died. And though Manns does not know the family, she plans to keep them in her prayers.

"I would say as a community we are praying for them ... just for them to find strength during this time."
