Corbin man indicted, accused of sexually abusing teenager

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - January 10, 2020
Mark A. Felts has a pretrial conference scheduled for February 13.

He faces several charges of sexual abuse of someone less than 16 years old.

Mark A. Felts had a hearing on November 7 on several sexual abuse charges.

He was originally indicted in August for one count of third-degree sodomy. Later in October, a new indictment charged Felts with six counts of first-degree sexual abuse with someone less than 16 years old.

Felts was referred to as a person in a position of authority over the teenage victim.

His next court appearance is set for January 9.

August 28, 2019
Mark A. Felts of Corbin, was indicted on a third-degree sodomy charge.

A Laurel County grand jury indicted him on August 16.

According to his indictment, the incident happened in the spring of 2017. He allegedly had sexual intercourse with a minor while in a position of authority.

Felts posted $25,000 cash bond at the Laurel County Clerk's office.

His hearing is scheduled for September 12.
