HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - A passing system will plague us for the next couple of days, keeping scattered rain chances in play. The next big system comes on Friday.
Today and Tonight
We'll start the day with clear to partly cloudy skies, but those clouds increase quickly heading into the mid-morning and afternoon hours. We'll also pick up some chances for scattered showers later today.
Highs will climb into the mid to upper 50s.
Tonight, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with a stray shower chance early. Lows drop into the upper 30s for most.
Sun and clouds will start our Friday Eve, but scattered chances for rain will still be around. Those chances will become widespread heading into the overnight hours and into Friday with the cold front.
Temperatures will be cooler too. Highs will be in the low 50s with lows in the low 40s.
The bulk of the showers will arrive Friday and stick around for most of the day. Highs will be in the mid-40s with overnight lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s.
For the weekend, we are looking at mostly sunny skies and dry conditions.
Some higher elevations could see a few flurries early Saturday morning. It will be a cold day after that. If daytime highs get to 40, I'll be surprised. Overnight lows will drop into the mid-20s.
Sunday, look for mostly sunny skies for Veteran's Day with highs a little warmer, closer to the 50-degree mark. Overnight lows will drop into the mid-30s.
I'm not going to get into next week just yet. I will say this: It could be the beginning of a very interesting pattern. Stay tuned!
