College Football Playoff games set for December 28th
The College Football Playoff committee has officially released its rankings on December 8th and determined who will play in the Peach and Fiesta Bowls on the 28th.
LSU, fresh off the heels of a 37-10 victory in the SEC Championship over Georgia, jumped Ohio State to reclaim the Number 1 spot in the rankings.
The Buckeyes, who soundly took care of Number 8 Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship 34-21, finished second while the ACC's Clemson Tigers capped off the nation's third and final undefeated season with a 62-17 deconstruction of Number 23 Virginia, took the Number 3 spot.
Rounding out the top four is Oklahoma, who took care of business in the Big 12 Championship against Baylor 30-23 to finish 11-1. The Sooners were the beneficiaries of Utah's stunning upset at the hands of Oregon on Friday, December 6th, 15-37.
LSU and Oklahoma will play in the Peach Bowl which kicks off at 4 p.m. while Clemson and Ohio State will square off in the Fiesta Bowl at 8 p.m. Both games will air live on December 28th on ESPN.
