Cold front moves in overnight, soggy Good Friday

(WYMT) - Hope you got out and enjoyed today because the next few days will be chilly and soggy!

Tonight and Good Friday
Clouds will continue to increase this evening ahead of the cold front that moves in late tonight into early Friday morning. Tonight rain chances will return late, mainly after midnight, and continue into your Friday.

Soggy weather will be the main threat for your Good Friday with gusty winds early. Highs will be in the low to mid-60s early Friday morning with temperatures dropping throughout the day as the cold front moves through. Showers will continue into the evening and overnight hours. Lows will drop into the upper 30s to lower 40s.

Easter Weekend
The soggy weather continues into Saturday as the low-pressure system tracks over our region. Highs will only tap out into the lower 50s with overnight lows near 40. Models are showing the showers becoming more scattered throughout the day.

Clouds will stick around early Sunday morning but I think we see those mostly sunny skies return just in time for those afternoon Easter egg hunts! Highs will rebound back into the upper 60s to lower 70s with overnight lows in the lower 50s.

Extended Forecast
Sunshine and warmer temperatures continue into the first couple of days of the new work week.

Highs on Monday and Tuesday look to be back into the upper 70s to lower 80s. A stray chance for a shower or two is possible on Tuesday, but it looks like we remain mostly dry.

Some models bring in scattered rain chances Wednesday and Thursday. We'll continue to monitor that.
