Cold front arrives Monday evening, soggy weather returns

By  |

(WYMT) - We will continue to see those mostly cloudy skies tonight with temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. We are tracking another cold front that will bring soggy conditions back into the mountains as well.

Monday and Tuesday
We could see a little bit more sunshine Monday before the cold front arrives later in the evening hours. Highs will be in the mid-70s with a mixture of sun and clouds throughout the day. The bulk of the showers look will arrive later Monday night into early Tuesday morning as a cold front moves through the mountains.

The overnight hours will be the soggiest with temperatures dropping into the lower 50s. Those showers will linger into Tuesday morning, and right now it looks like most of the showers should be out of the region by the later afternoon hours. Highs will reach the mid-60s with overnight lows dropping into the low to mid-40s.

Extended Forecast
Cooler weather returns for your Wednesday and Thursday with plenty of sunshine. Both days highs will be in the 60s with overnight lows in the 40s. We'll see mostly sunny skies both days as well.

By Friday and into the weekend, we will be tracking another cold front that will move into the mountains and bring more soggy weather with it.

Right now models are in disagreement of when the cold front will arrive. Some show the front arriving Friday while others show it arriving Saturday. We will continue to monitor this trend over the next few days.
