(WYMT) - A few storms are possible this afternoon, but most of us will stay dry until the overnight hours.
After a day of mostly sunny skies, a cold front will bring some minor changes tonight.
A cold front will move through late, bringing us isolated showers and storms tonight and overnight. The front will lose most of its steam as it approaches Eastern Kentucky. Lows in the mid 60s.
Monday and Tuesday
We will start off the new work week on a dry note.
Thanks to the cold front, hot temperatures will take a break and we will see highs in the upper 70s Monday and Tuesday. Both days will be mostly dry. A stray shower cannot be ruled out on Monday morning as the cold front moves east. Mostly cloudy skies will make way for partly cloudy skies Monday afternoon. Tuesday will be mostly sunny.
Just when we thought we could catch a break from the heat, it comes right on back. Right now, the middle and end of the week looks like a typical summertime pattern with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s, high humidity and pop-up showers and storms in the afternoon hours.
Remember, if you spend time outside do not forget to use sunscreen and stay hydrated!
