Cold air moves in tonight and Friday
By Friday you'll be able to put away the rain jacket and get out the winter coat!
Showers will continue to move out this evening as that cold front moves out of the mountains. As temperatures drop and some moisture sticks around we could see a few flurries tonight. Overnight lows look to drop into the mid to upper 20s. The wind chill Friday morning could be in the teens.
Friday, sunshine returns with highs only reaching the upper 30s. We'll be clear and cold for the evening hours as well. Friday night football fans, it will be very cold so make sure to bundle up! Overnight lows will drop into the low to mid-20s.
We'll see more sunshine this weekend with temperatures on the warmer side! Highs on Saturday will be near 50 with overnight lows in the mid to upper 30s. If you are heading out to the UK game, you'll still want to bundle up!
Highs on Sunday will be near 60 degrees with overnight lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
For the first couple days of the new workweek, we will be tracking another cold front that will bring VERY cold air and maybe a wintry mix into the mountains.
Models like the idea of this system moving in late Monday evening and continuing into the morning hours on Tuesday. One thing we know for sure is that we will see temperatures near freezing for highs and lows could drop into the teens.
If moisture moves in before temperatures drop, we will just see rain. If temperatures drop fast enough with that moisture, we could see some type of wintery mix. Confidence will build as we inch closer. However, we are still several days away so a lot can change. We will continue to update you with the latest.
