CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A Clay County grand jury indicted a man earlier this month on a first-degree assault charge.

According to court documents, Johnny Asher, Jr. intentionally stabbed a woman's genitalia with a sharp instrument.

They did not say what exactly that "sharp instrument" was.

Authorities said the woman was seriously injured as a result. This allegedly happened on September 16, 2018.

Asher was indicted January 3. He was booked into the Clay County Detention Center Jan. 13.
