HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - We're seeing dry conditions to start the day, but they won't last very long.
Today and Tonight
It is another chilly start to the day, with most locations waking up in the low to mid 20s. Some folks may see a touch of sunshine early this morning, but clouds will increase quickly.
There is a small chance of some cold rain or a little wintry mix around the I-64 corridor early, but it will not cause any problems. The chances for scattered showers start out to the west close to lunchtime and increase in coverage throughout the afternoon.
Highs get into the mid 40s early this afternoon and fall into the low 40s early this evening. Temperatures will actually climb overnight as warm air surges in from the south.
Friday looks to be soggy for much of the day with rain chances expected at around 80%. Highs on will soar into the mid to upper 50s due to a southwesterly wind throughout the day.
Soggy conditions will continue on Saturday as well. Highs will climb into the low to mid-60s, so at least we have that to look forward to. Lows will drop into the low to mid-50s both Friday and Saturday night.
Outside of a few morning showers on Sunday, clouds will begin to clear and the conditions will look better throughout the day. Highs on Sunday will reach the lower 60s with sunshine around later in the afternoon.
