Brandon Robinson leaves WYMT, sets out on another adventure
Executive Producer of Mountain News This Morning and Forecaster Brandon Robinson bids a fond farewell to the mountains Friday as he ends his time at WYMT.
Robinson is heading to Harlan County to assume the role of Deputy Judge Executive.
He is a Cumberland native and was offered the position in July and felt it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.
In his nearly 13 years at WYMT, "B-Rob", as we affectionately call him has worn many hats. From assignment editor to producer to forecaster, he has done it all.
"There's a quote that says you never really leave the place you love, you take part of it with you and leave part of you there," Robinson said in his on-air goodbye. "That's especially true in this case because I love WYMT and I love my hometown of Harlan County. A part of me will always be in both places, I'm just physically taking myself home now."
Brandon will still fill in on an as-needed basis and insists if you see him out and about, chat him up because he will always be known as "the weatherman".
