LEATHERWOOD, Ky. (WYMT) - Officials with the City of Hazard water department are warning people in and around the Leatherwood community of Perry County to be careful with water use during their Thanksgiving cooking.
A water break early Thursday morning caused a boil water advisory for the following areas:
Highway 699 from the Mountain Comprehensive Health Corporation: Leatherwood Medical Clinic to Beegum Curve, along with all of highway 463.
What does this mean for Thanksgiving cooking? Officials say using water in dishes that require a boil is okay, but any washing in the affected areas should be done with bottled or boiled water that is left to cool.
