Blizzard in Colorado leaves Eastern Kentucky native stranded

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (WYMT) - A man from Hazard now lives in Colorado Springs where there is a Blizzard Warning until midnight on March 14th.

A major winter storm is impacting the Central United States delivering blizzard conditions.

Winds are gusting anywhere from 70-90+ MPH.

Interstates and airports are shut down and this man is expected to be stranded until at least Saturday.

A low-pressure system has rapidly intensified and has reached a scientific classification called bombogenesis.

Bombogenesis is when a low-pressure system drops at least 24 millibars in 24 hours.
