MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Three Magoffin County high school students survived a nearly head-on crash Wednesday morning.

The crash happened on Route 7 as the students were on their way to school. A brother and sister were in one vehicle, and a teenage boy was in the other.

Authorities confirm that the siblings' truck hit a patch of black ice, causing them to crash into the other boy's car.

The 16-year-old girl was airlifted, and the other two students were taken to the hospital as well.

We are told all three appear to have non-life threatening injuries. Police have not released the students' names because they are all minors.
