Black Friday Forecast: Hot deals, chilly conditions

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - If you're hitting the stores today, don't forget that jacket! You'll need it all day!

Black Friday
It's going to be a chilly start to this Friday. We'll alternate between sun and clouds today. It may end up being more cloudy at times, Daytime highs will climb into the mid to upper 40s, depending on that cloud cover.

There is a stray chance for a shower today, but the best chances come late tonight. Overnight lows will drop to around 40. Happy shopping!

The Weekend
I hope you get most of your shopping done on Friday, because the first half of the weekend looks soggy. Saturday features periods of rain all day and most of the night. Highs will climb back into the mid to upper 50s and lows will drop into the low 50s.

Sunday, scattered chances continue, but we'll see some sunshine at times. Sunday night into Monday morning, the clouds and the precipitation returns. What type of moisture will we see? That all depends on temperature. We should stay above freezing, so it will most likely be cold rain or maybe a little bit of mix. We'll be watching it closely.

Extended Forecast
We'll hang onto that chance for that rain/snow mix as we head into your Monday as that system moves out of the mountains. Highs look to be in the mid to upper 30s with overnight lows dropping into the lower 30s.

After this system, we look to be in the clear for a little bit. Sun and clouds move back into the mountains with highs in the 40s and 50s for most of the week.
