HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - It's turned into a beautiful afternoon and that will lead to a fantastic evening and night.
Are you ready for a heat break? I'd say a lot of us are. Tonight, you can cut the AC off and open the windows. Under mostly clear skies, lows should drop into the mid-50s. Talk about a crisp night for late July! There could be some fog late, so be careful of that.
Remember that time we had a stretch of dry days? I do, but it's been a while. We're about the have that for much of the next seven days, if you can believe it.
From Wednesday through Monday, the forecast is sunny skies. Seriously. No July Fools joke here. We may start to throw a few clouds in as we head toward the weekend, but the only difference you're going to notice is the temperature.
Highs Wednesday and Thursday will be very pleasant, thanks to lower humidity. Look for those to top out in the upper 70s and low 80s. Overnight lows? How about the upper 50s to right at 60.
The summerlike feel slowly returns to the forecast the deeper into the weekend that we go. From the mid-80s on Friday to the upper 80s by Sunday and Monday.
Right now, our next best chance for rain is next Tuesday. That's almost a whole week of dry days.
How about that? Enjoy!
