CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - Austin City Saloon has its grand opening on Wednesday at 11 a.m. where they will start serving their full menu.
Austin City Saloon has been open since 1981 in Lexington, however adding a restaurant is a new adventure for owners.
Owners say they have had two soft openings previously in Corbin at the new location with a third on Tuesday evening.
They say while tourism and revitalization continue to expand Corbin, it was the perfect next location for Austin City Saloon.
"You've got a growing downtown and we wanted to be a part of it. And, me obviously living down here it makes it a lot easier and an easy choice," Josh Brock, Co-Owner of Austin City Saloon.
Brock says if you like Smokey Bear's Barbeque you will be pleased to know that the unique food they are will be serving are all made by Smokey Bear's owner Barry Mays.
He says if there are full bands at times there will be a cover charge to help pay for the bands but there is no general admission as it is a restaurant.
The Corbin location is family-friendly and will open at all ages except Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights after 9 p.m.
