LEE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - AT&T expanded its network in Lee County.
The company added a new cell tower to its 4G LTE network along Proctor Road in Beattyville.
The expansion is supposed to improve network connectivity while streaming videos and connecting with others.
“The 4G LTE expansion in Beattyville is an important step to keep our communities connected to the modern services they demand,” said Senate President Robert Stivers. “We all rely on wireless high-speed internet and this investment is sure to benefit local businesses and families.”
The added coverage will also benefit public safety and first responders on FirstNet – a communications platform designed to help first responders connect to the critical information they need.
